NEW EXPERIENCES AT CAROWINDS CAMP SNOOPY

Visitors to Camp Snoopy become scouts on a mission, earning badges by playing AR games while waiting in line. I designed three interactive experiences that transform idle wait time into engaging gameplay, keeping families entertained and immersed in the Camp Snoopy story throughout the park. Working closely with developers and the park's creative team, I balanced creative vision with technical constraints to deliver experiences optimized for diverse mobile devices and high-traffic environments.

CAMP SNOOPY AR PROTOTYPES

I collaborated with the Technical Art team to design three AR games, each themed to complement its paired ride while maintaining consistent visual language and gameplay mechanics across the Camp Snoopy brand:

Critter Catcher: Butterflies swarm around players as they hunt for monarchs. Tap the right one and Woodstock swoops in for the catch. Each successful capture earns points toward your scout badge.

Photo Hunt: Beagle scouts dart and fly through your space at speed. Aim your camera and time your shot perfectly to snap their picture before they zoom away. Quick reflexes earn the most points.

Scout Splash: Beagle scouts circle overhead carrying targets. Load your slingshot with water balloons, aim carefully, and fire to hit targets and climb the leaderboard.

CAMP SNOOPY GAME INSTRUCTIONS

I created animated motion graphic explainers for each game, breaking down the mechanics into simple, visual steps. These 10-15 second tutorials use playful animation and clear visual cues to teach players the controls, scoring system, and objective, ensuring visitors of all ages can jump right into the action without confusion. Delivered on a tight timeline alongside game development, these tutorials reduced player friction and increased successful game completions, directly supporting the park's goal of enhancing guest satisfaction during queue times.
